We are enduring an unprecedented time in our most recent history with the shutting down of most businesses and the economy. This is a worrisome time for many and is a strain on our country both socially and financially. Our office has decided to close our doors to help better protect our state and our patients that we so dearly care for. This decision was a very hard decision to make from a business owner perspective, yet a simple one from a human perspective. The ramifications of this pandemic continuing on its growth curve will have an effect on many small businesses including mine, and it will be a strain on many people financially, but more importantly will put a strain on our healthcare system and health care workers.
The rate in which this virus can replicate and infect others is something our healthcare system is not prepared for. Recklessly spreading this virus could infect a large amount of people and quickly over run our ability to give people proper care and to properly protect the people heroically caring for sick individuals. I urge many businesses to consider this in order to slow the progress of this virus. Let's face it as West Virginians we do not have the resources and will not get the assistance that many of the larger areas of the country will get, so it is essential that we take our own safety into our own hands. We can do this by spending a lot of our time at home with our families and help prevent the further spread of this contagion. We are a notoriously proud state and if any state can stand up and protect each other without overrunning our system, it is West Virginia. The more we can do to reduce the spread of the virus the better off we will be and the more people that will make it through these trying times.
By closing our doors we feel we are making the best decision possible to prevent the spread of this virus to our patients which are very dear to us. We know our waiting room can be busy at times and that we come into contact with a large amount of people in a single day and the last thing my staff or I want to do is be responsible for the further spreading of this disease leading to further strain on our healthcare system and causing harm to our patients. We are doing this purely out of the necessity to protect those that mean the most to us and we hope you understand. With that being said if anyone has significant pain or injury and needs to see me please feel free to message me on my personal Facebook Page the practice page, or via our email address. We will do our best to help anyone out in an any way we can. Also for any questions feel free to text or call Jonas at 304-481-5714.
